I’ve been a jazz enthusiast for a couple of decades. Now I’ve been obsessed with the geometry of guitar fretboard. It’s not so obvious for me to figure out the entire system of the fretboard.
So I decided to try to figure out how the system should be extended as one picture, especially chords spread over the fingerboard.
My plan is to play a couple of ideas everyday and then upload one on my YouTube channel. And then I’d describe here in blog post about the thoughts beneath the play. Especially put a emphasis on mental pictures I had in mind during playing those.
I think majorities of guitarists rely on their own pictures to great extent. I’d like to name each those of mines one by one. I’d use the name for me to easily recall when I’m being stuck during improvising.
I guess even in my age and about 20 years carrier of playing jazz chords, I could still discover new thing, stuff I’ve been missing, or new way of viewing. The journey is endless. There’s always being a new discovery and joy.
So this would be more private than public. But I made it on a public space. That makes me feel it like my mission.
